Cat Janice has turned expectations on their head with a song about dealing with cancer that is catchy, uplifting and groovy throughout. Her lust for life shines through in ‘Chill the fck out’, with danceable synth breaks and punchy pop hooks filling the track. Her mantra for coping with stress sitting at the track’s lyrical core: “I would say to myself ‘Chill the fck out’ when I would stress about work or school,” she explains. “Then I finished the song while I was starting chemo and I would be stressed about going into that chapter of my life.” Expect more from this talented artist over the coming months. -Dan Peeke.
